BREATHE MOTHER BREATHE

This project is composed of two photographs: one is the classic cover image of the Amazon and the other is the record of the depredation of natural reserves by the practice of informal mining in the department of Madre de Dios, Peru. Both deposited in the filter system for breathing of an industrial mask. Likewise, a gold monolith stands out from the exhalation valve that points towards the earth, as an ancient Inca symbol. Given this, the user is subjected to a poetic situation of "breathing photography", in the middle of two antagonistic scenarios; together with the impossibility of exhaling due to the obstruction of a memory of the extractive colonial history.
